The brand of Bio Cosmetics is the result of the unique expertise of Clé Des Champs, which has developed its own exclusive formula for amazing results on the skin according to each season. The products are free from parabens, artificiel fragrance, or ingredients derived from animals – plus none of the products are tested on animals. Clé des Champs respects your skin and the natural environment. Clé des champs beauty treatments have clearly shown their anti-ageing effectiveness in clinical tests, which have been certified.
Ecocert Approved
Clé Des Champs is the first luxury Bio cosmetic line to use seasonal, natural active ingredients; they are labelled ‘Cosmebio‘ and certified ‘Ecocert‘. In France, where the brand is produced, a professional association of French cosmetic laboratories called Cosmébio controls and approves certain cosmetic products with its ‘Ecocert‘ stamp. To qualify, a number of aspects are tested, such as the traceability of products, the mode of manufacture, transportation and packaging. A minimum 95% of ingredients must be natural and processed according to procedures approved, and the remaining 5% comes from a very restricted list. The charter promotes ingredients from organic farming, and prohibits:
• tests on animals.
• substances derived from animals (other than those produced without health impact of these, such as honey, for example).
• GMOs (Genetically Modified Organisms).
• toxic chemicals such as parabens and phenoxyethanol.
History
The history of Clé des Champs began in 2004. Based on the expertise of Celine Claret Coquet, who graduated from Traditionnal Chinese Medicine of Beijing University, and the research in cosmetics made by Frédéric Saulnier, they created a concept of care based on the influence of seasons on the body, and in particular the relationship existing between season, skin and emotion. They chose then only to use certified biological products to develop their brand. Four years of development were necessary before they launched their Spa Clé des Champs in Lyon – this was the first luxury Bio Spa to combine the rhythm of the seasons to the latest care protocols.
